Having him being diminished wasted so much potential in seeing him judging criminals on the streets. The best scenes were him with his helmet on during the block war and blowing up the car, those scenes felt like pure Judge Dredd the rest was just Rambo in the future.

The film would've done better if Dredd was the side of the law for the entire film.

Framing Dredd for murder was probably done to make him more relatable and to show his face more likely since they hoping to cast a star in mind.

Think the film would've done better with Dredd being on the law start to finish and possibility have a trainee like Anderson or least not to have things go so horrible wrong by being framed for murder when introducing him to audiences. The framed for murder plot would've done better for a sequel.
