讨论 Mission: Impossible II

This one was titled Mission: Impossible 2 as the Roman numerals were only used for the third film.

Do you have proof? It looks like the current opening uses "Mission: Impossible II."

The DVD, Blu ray and press kits all use "M:I-2" when used in a sentence, with it stylized as "M:i-2" in the logo. However, the billing block (on everything, including the poster) goes with "Mission: Impossible 2," as does the UHD, which spells it out on the spine rather than use the logo. The only time we ever see "Mission Impossible II," is the on-screen title (with the classic font in a title treatment never used in any promo materials, same as the first and third film). The trailer and the film have been submitted to the BBFC and Australian Classification Board under all of the above.

I would say either "M:I-2" or "Mission: Impossible 2" should be preferred.

edit: And never mind, I see the bible says to "try to use the title as it is written in the original on-screen opening credits." I will be lobbying for the Irishman to be called "I Heard You Paint Houses," lol.

Given discussion here has clarified that the site ostensibly prefers the tile as used in promotional materials if all the promotional material use the same title treatment, this should be changed to "Mission: Impossible 2" which all posters, press kits, ect consistently use (along with M:i-2, but when spelled out, it's "Mission: Impossible 2."
