@bratface Poor Matt!

He's probably my favourite "New Who" Doctor. I'd definitely say 9, if not 10.

  1. Matt Smith
  2. David Tennant (very close, but I didn't like all the "Rose" stuff)
  3. Peter Capaldi (for him, the scripts were very poor)
  4. Christopher Ecclestone
  5. Jodie Whitaker (shame, I normally like her)

Not including the War and Fugitive Doctors or Ncuti Gadwa. Too early to tell with him, but I'm finding him a bit too pantomime and wish he'd stop crying. Still, what do I know? Inside Out 2 (I've never been moved to see the first) seems likely to be the film that finally kicks off the summer season after a number of disappointments that I actually liked. It would seem that "emotional" is in.

I wasn't a Doctor Who fan until Eccleston, (too cheesy). But I will say that it took a little while to warm up to Tennant, I had recently seen him in a mini-series called 'Secret Smile' & he totally creeped me out. But I was sad when he left, tried to like Smith but...? I tried watching HOD but Smith is 'icky', so I stopped after the 4th episode. Never got a chance to see Capaldi & the ones that followed (canceled cable).

For some reason wink Tennant did finally bring a broad female audience to Doctor Who. I remember seeing the stylised DW logo on gurls' schoolbooks. What I would have given when I was in school for girls to be interested in Doctor Who! Anyway, the Smith era also gave the world Karen Gillan, for which we should be eternally grateful. Also, this ending to a story about Vincent Van Gogh: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOMoaLOZbII
