It didn't need an official release. The movie was it's promotion and reason for success. Don't act like the song was going to do well regardless....It wouldn't have done jack sh!t had it been released as an official single on the Jolene album instead and you know it...same goes for Swallow. And last I checked YNTCD was 3x Platinum in the US and ARUTW is 1x Platinum and YNTCD also charted higher and in more countries.

Literally ALL of Taylor's Lover singles have done WORSE in streaming than ARUTW. They've got more certifications because they were official singles and had radio backing their performance. Also, Gaga's song is under-certified so let's see once certifications are updated. The public STILL chose to stream it more, so you can stay pressed lol.

Stupid Love has better streams than any recent Taylor song, so there's that. ARUTW is a non-single that did better than your faves' entire discographies.

How on earth is “Say Something” not Christina success? In fact nobody remembers that band she sung with & everyone calls it a Aguilera song.

Taylor's non-single Midnight Rain still crossed 600 million streams quite a bit faster though and didn't have a music video or a movie to promote it. Midnight Rain in fact wasn't even a single unlike Gaga's ARUTW which certainly was released as a single in a couple countries.

Congrats on Gaga currently having 10 songs on Spotify with over 600 million streams though. In just a few days Taylor will have 37 songs on Spotify with over 600 streams....then in a few months some of the TPPS songs will start hitting 600 million+ streams.

In addition to the fact that Cruel Summer will plow through Shallow this year.

Taylor had 12 songs get 1 million+ streams today. Gaga had N/A songs get 1 million+ streams today.

Remember the week TTPD came out and the album alone got more streams in 1 weeks than Gaga's entire discography got in 2023?
