Keith Cooke

Biography

Keith Cooke is a man of many qualities, accomplished in the arts of Wushu, Tae Kwon Do and Karate.

He started his WuShu training in 1973, under Roger Tung. In 1980 he went to China and he trained for 5 hours a day and entered the competition circuit in 1983. He immediately gained a second place in both Weapons and Forms Divisions (lost to George Chung). But next year he was number 1, and in 1985 people knew him as the Martial Artist of the year.

Keith Hirabayashi Cooke o Keith H. Cooke (nacido el 17 de septiembre de 1959) en Seattle, Washington, EE. UU., es un experimentado artista marcial, actor y ocasionalmente doble de riesgo.

Cooke posee entrenamiento en Wushu, Tae Kwon Do y Karate. Sus premios incluyen ser nombrado competidor del año por la revista Black Belt en 1985, y cinco týtulos de gran campeón en los torneos abiertos y mundiales de EE. UU.

Es más conocido por sus roles en las dos primeras películas de Mortal Kombat, pero también interpretó el papel protagónico en la película de 1995 Heatseeker, además de la serie de películas co-protagonizadas por Cynthia Rothrock, China O'Brien. Además aparece en la película de 1997 Beverly Hills Ninja.

Su madre es japonesa y su padre es anglo-americano.

Cooke ahora enseña artes marciales en su escuela, "Champions Martial Arts", en Brentwood, California. Vive con su esposa, Suzanne, y su hijo, Jake.
