Biography

Rita Lengyel is a German actress and director. She grew up in Cologne, Budapest and Berlin. In 1989, director Oliver Hirschbiegel cast the 16-year-old Rita for a role in his film "Der Eistaucher". This was followed a year later by a leading role in Klaus Emmerich's feature film "Pizza Colonia". She took acting lessons in Cologne and Los Angeles. Since 1990, she has appeared in various TV films, series and serials. She has played leading roles in cinema productions such as "Mortal Beauty" (2001) by director Markus Goller, "Berlin Calling" (2008) and "Global Player" (2013) by director Hannes Stöhr.
