The Movie Database Support

I added a film called 1999 Hiraeth made by a Mizo director here in Mizoram, a north-eastern state in India. But while I was editing the page for the film, I tried to add Mizo as the film's language but I couldn't it since it was missing. I already emailed the TMDB support email thing asking them to add Mizo as an option if it's possible. There have been multiple high-quality films made in Mizoram and Mizo itself is even recognized by Google translate. Was wondering if anybody, perhaps from a smaller state with a language that's not that popular, has had the same issue? Did they get their language added in?

I would recommend searching the forums. We always give a similar answer.

TMDb was build with the ISO 639-1 set of language codes, which is unfortunately missing a lot of languages. There is no way for us to add missing languages. I'm personally hoping TMDb eventually switch to ISO 639-3, which has a more comprehensive list of languages, but as far as I know this is currently not on their to-do list.
