The Movie Database Support

So I was doing some experimentation with your API and noticed that the Upcoming endpoint in Movie lists returns some 20-30 year old movies like Forrest Gump, original Lion King and Toy Story 2. I was wondering why was that? Also when calling that endpoint there are max and min dates predefined. What's the point of them if some movies in the list do not fit in the date range but are still retrieved?

These results are correct:

  • "Forrest Gump" will have a new limited theatrical release in the United Kingdom on July 19, 2024 for its 30th Anniversary.
  • "The Lion King" will have a new theatrical release in the United States on July 12, 2024 also for its 30th anniversary.
  • "Toy Story 2" will have a new theatrical release in the United Kingdom on July 20, 2024 for its 25th anniversary.

I have a movie that was released in 1995 with a future release date of 2035... a 40-year anniversary more than 11 years away... that's quite a huge distance away from now. There should be a limit. Check "Devil in a Blue Dress (1995)" edits by TMDB-Betatron.

TMDB-Betatron error should be reported here.
