Overview
古来よりこの世の影に潜み、人に見つからぬよう、人と関わり合って生きる“怪物”（けもの）という存在。彼らの多くは人間の世界に適応し、社会に交じり生活していた。しかし現代では、人と必要以上に深く関わろうとするケースが多数報告されるようになっていた。探偵事務所を営む隠神は、そんな“怪物”たちが起こす怪事件のうちの一つを追い、片田舎のとある村を訪れる。そしてそこで夏羽という少年に出会う—。
