Discuss Star Wars: Visions

Item: Volume 2

Language: en-US

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: The show's language is set as Japanese, which is no longer true for Volume 2. Is there any solution to that? Also, the map of production countries is now much broader than just Japan and US, including Spain, Ireland, Chile, the UK, South Korea, India and SAR.

The shorts included in “Star Wars: Visions” Volume 2 were created by the following international animation studios:
El Guiri (Spain), Cartoon Saloon (Ireland), Punkrobot (Chile), Aardman (United Kingdom), Studio Mir (South Korea),
Studio La Cachette (France), 88 Pictures (India), D'art Shtajio (Japan), and Triggerfish (South Africa).
D’Art Shtajio’s short was created in collaboration with Lucasfilm Ltd. (United States).

An option could be to change the Original TV Show Language field to English since Lucasfilm Ltd. is the main production company and change any linked fields like the Original Name and Translated Name. The cast added to each episode would still need to be the people linked to the original language of said episode, not the English dub.

For the Spoken Languages field, I think adding the original languages spoken in each episode (Japanese for the Japan-produced first season, English for the UK-produced episode, French for the France-produced episode, etc.) could be the way to go.

Also, the map of production countries is now much broader than just Japan and US, including Spain, Ireland, Chile, the UK, South Korea, India and SAR.

If I remember correctly, each short in the first season said "Produced by [insert Japanese studio name here]" during the credits so if it's the same for the second season, I don't see why the new studios and production countries can't stay (they've already been added to the entry) since they would credited as a production company and Visions is an anthology series with each episode being an independent production.

This is the way I would go, too.

I'm guessing Jett meant to refer to the origin countries, considering that field is still locked to Japan and the US.

Yes, this probably makes the most sense.

Yes, exactly. I forgot that "Production countries" and "Origin country" are two separate entries. The origin country probably needs to stay as US/Japan, since the show originated from these two countries. So scratch that :)

Thanks, guys :)

The original language is now set to English. thumbsup
