After volunteer teacher Torfun dies in a tragic accident, her heart is transplanted to Tian. Through a series of diary entries, Tian learns about Torfun's life, secrets, interests, as well as her promise to count a thousand stars with Chief forest officer Phupha. Tian, as the new volunteer teacher, attempts to befriend Phupha, but the latter is initially cold to him. As the two slowly grow closer, Tian's heart beats fast around the military officer, and he starts to fall for him, much like his heart's previous owner did. Treading on dangerous territory, can the two keep their thousand star promise?

Tian, un jeune homme issu d'une riche famille, a des problèmes cardiaques. Un jour, alors que son cœur lâche, Torfun, une professeure bénévole venue du petit village de Pha Pun Dao meurt dans une accident de voiture. Son cœur est alors donné à Tian.

Intriguée par l'identité de son donneur, Tian mène sa petite enquête avant de découvrir qui elle est et il met alors la main sur le journal qu'elle tenait. Au travers de ce qu'elle écrit, Tian en apprend sur sa vie, ses intérêts, ses pensées, ses secrets... y compris la promesse qu'elle avait faite de compter mille étoiles avec Phupha, garde forestier en chef de son village. Tian décide alors de suivre les pas de la professeure et de poursuivre son rêve.

Nachdem die ehrenamtliche Lehrerin Torfun bei einem Unfall ums Leben kommt, bekommt Tian ihr Herz geht als Organspende. Durch eine Reihe von Tagebucheinträgen erfährt Tian von ihrem Leben, ihren Geheimnissen und Interessen. Dazu gehört auch ihr Versprechen an den Ranger Phupha, mit ihm tausend Sterne zu zählen. Tian beschließt daraufhin, in ihre Fußstapfen zu treten und ihren Traum zu verwirklichen. Tian versucht, sich mit Phupha anzufreunden, aber dieser verhält sich anfangs noch kalt und emotionslos gegenüber Tian. Langsam kommen sich die beiden jedoch näher und Tians Herz schlägt immer schneller, wenn er in Kontakt mit dem Ranger kommt. Er beginnt, sich in ihn zu verlieben, ganz wie die ehemalige Besitzerin seines Spenderherzens. Aber können sie auch ihr Versprechen, tausend Sterne zu zählen, einhalten, während sie gefährliches Territorium betreten?

Uma professora voluntária morre em um trágico acidente, e seu coração é transplantado para Tian.
