I mean I suppose everyone saw it was coming, but still it felt like a poor ending. Not sure if they are testing the waters for a Harrison spin-off, but that dude doesn't really seem to have the charisma for it. The series did seem to stray away quite far from what it was in the beginning. They portrayed him as some kind of an highly efficient killer who meticulously studied his victims before killing them and it somehow went to spontaneous killings with no research in environments he had no control over. I suppose the icing on the cake was how this forensics expert would for some magical reason keep the surgical screw that would theoretically link him to the crime and of course the small town police chief would find it easily amongst the rubble. Not sure what the point of the jailbreak was either. I don't remember the previous seasons too well, but did they really have something on him in Florida besides him faking his death?

Very shitty ending. I regret every episode. This season should not exist. I won't recommend to anyone.

agreed on all counts. Absurd and frustrating. He went from being calculated, cold and feigning emotion in season 1 (where they literally explain how he taught himself to fit in because he didn't emote like others), to being reckless and highly emotional in this, while claiming his super emo kid was 'exactly like him'. It's like whoever wrote this season hadn't watched any of the earlier ones. Infuriating.

All that said... I did quite enjoy it while it lasted!

Ya know.. i was sooo pissed iff at first too.. i hated it too.. but you gotta go back and watch it again guys and then itll finally sink in this was a GREAT ending.

I was on the hate wagon too guys.. but im seriouse.. i watched it again and realized DEX made alot of mistakes from episode 1.. its the NOT KILLING that ultimately sealed his fate. ABSTINENCE made him rusty, he was unhinged.. go back and watch his first kill.. watch HIM.. HIS EMOTIONS.. he was bubbling over abd finally made a kill but by then he had made too many mistakes..

Just trust me, go back and watch youll see. Dexter was not guided by debra, he was HAUNTED by her which weakened him.. like a forner sgell of himself.. abd his resistence to killing was like a heroin addict that recovered abd will take specific steps to COMPLETELY avoid ANYTHING that would hint to his addiction..

He was also being vetted by harrison the WHOLE TIME.. JUST KEEP THAT IN MIND..

Id like to see harrison spin off he is just as dark as his father.. they were ambiguous on this for a reason.. but youll see hints of it. Plus that cabin fight scene shows ne the actor can carry the killer role..

Every fab is angry because they sonehow musunderstood that the show means mchall was coming back. That was never the plan. Mchall already made it very clear he was DONE with this role.. so no matter what they had to END IT but they wanted to give us an ending that would allow a spin off in the same UNIVERSE.. if you just keep that in mind and go watch it again.. youll see what i mean and youll enjoy it.
