The upcoming SEASON of Dexter WILL be season 9

Dexter: New Blood will not be the title of the series. Instead the upcoming season with be season 9 of the 2006 series. You still have it as Dexter: New Blood.

Dexter: New Blood is considered a new, separate series according to Showtime.

Showtime really fucked up on this one. They started with this being a new series, then they decided that this was going to be season 9 of Dexter, then about a week ago the changed their minds again and decided that i was a new series.
