Extra Details: There is a separate episode 23 & 24 for Season 4. Not one episode that combines them as episode 23. IMDB, and more importantly the "Friends: The Complete Series" Blu-Ray have it as such. It is called "The One with Ross's Wedding: Part 2". Combining both episodes (23&24) as one causes episode 24 to be omitted when scraping with the TMDB APIs.
Episode 24, even though it did air on the same date as episode 23, started with the statement "previously on Friends" and also had another intro in it. The old links provided in previous discussions are not official sources. An official source is in the "Friends: The Complete Series" Blu-Ray. It contains a booklet signed by the 3 producers of the show stating "236 episodes and ten years later, we still weren't ready to see it end." Season 4 episode 23 is listed in the booklet as episode 96. Season 4 episode 24 is listed as episode 97. The episodes on those Blu-Rays are the "broadcast" episodes. Not the extended episodes. I will be happy to provide photos of the statements in that "official" booklet.

We follow the original broadcast, not the current blu-ray.
And, as indicated, we don't follow how the show was produced, but how it was originally broadcasted.
The only official sources for us are the NBC website and the newspaper of that time.
