I really like Saved by the bell, but PLCL has such a quirky way of showing things happening to these teenagers. The strange camera movement, the close ups, special effects (like Kubiak making the ground shake when he moves). And yet they developed the relations of the characters nicely. I like the 50s feeling of the cafeteria and even some of the hairstyles and clothing, it makes it feel out of time. An important thing of me is the dominant rock music, even sometimes using notorious bands.
