Sete escolas estão competindo pelo controle total da região de Kanto. Os alunos são conhecidos como "Toushis", e cada um carrega uma pérola sagrada, ou Magatama, e dentro dela está um espírito de um antigo lutador de 1800 anos atrás na história chinesa. Os Toushis estão destinados aos destinos de seu Magatama. Entra Sonsaku Hakufu, uma bimbo de seios grandes e cabeça de vento, que se junta a Academia Nanyou, ao lado de seu primo, Koukin. Envolto em seu Magatama está o espírito de um guerreiro feroz que conquistou as terras 1800 anos antes, mas foi morto em tenra idade. Os Quatro Devas da Academia Nanyou a veem como uma ameaça e desejam evitar que a história se repita.

Quando sua derrota parecia iminente, Hakufu Sonsaku virou o jogo e derrotou Ryomou, membro dos Quatro Devas. No entanto, sua vitória viu uma força tomar conta de seu corpo, deixando-a impotente contra ele, quase custando a vida de Ryomou, que está se recuperando no Hospital. Koukin promete proteger Hakufu para que isso nunca aconteça novamente, mas Hakufu foge de casa, apenas para se encontrar em apuros.

As escolas de Kanto começam a formar alianças de curto prazo como meio de se livrar de seus inimigos. Taishiji recebe uma ordem para executar Hakufu Sonsaku. Depois que os lutadores de sua escola tornam Koukin incapaz de lutar, Hakufu luta com o próprio Taishiji. Como tudo vai acabar?

The Great Fighter's Tournament is approaching quickly. Totaku, the previous victor, is hoping that the other schools will eliminate each other, leaving him to do battle with the sole, under-strengthed school left in the tournament (other than his own), and in order for ends to meet, he has rigged the draw for the tournament.

Hakufu goes on a rampage to avenge Taishiji, but is defeated, until the spirit awakens within her once again...

The new Fighters Tournament has now commenced. Which school will come out on top? Will anyone defeat Toutaku? How will Nanjou Academy go with Hakufu Sonsaku fighting for them? And will the spirit living inside her be awakened once again?

Hakufu and Koukin manage to fend off the crazed snake-like Kannei Kouha. Ryofu continues to pursue her own relationships with the possibility of betraying Tontaku. Shimei Ryomou fights the beautiful but deadly schoolgirl-uniformed Kanu Unchou of Seito Private School on the rooftops. Hakufu gets in another battle as well.

Nanyou Academy gets to fight Kyoshou Academy in this round. Hakufu Sonsaku is up against Kakouton "Basic" Genjou, but Aunt Goei arrives; whom will she support? Ryomou's opponent, Kakuka Houkou isn't a pushover either. Meanwhile, Kaku Bunwa and Ryofu Housen get into a heated conflict; Ryofu Housen and Chinkyuu Koudai decide to walk away from Toutaku's gang.

Aunt Goei takes Hakufu and Koukin to a mountain hot springs that seems to attract some of the other female fighters including Ryoumou and Ryofu who are also hoping to recover. Hakufu catches up to Ryoumou and they spar with Hakufu's old teacher Choukou.

Aunt Goei gives Hakufu and Koukin some tickets to the pool. Ryoumou ponders her fate to guard Hakufu. At the pool, Toutaku catches Hakufu in an alone moment, and befriends her with some watermelon. The mysterious and foreshadowing Ukitsu appears before Goei, looking for Hakufu. Chinkyuu gets caught stealing the Gyokuji. Ukitsu arrives at the pool and challenges Hakufu to a fight. Ryofu decides to get her revenge.

Ukitsu was about to fight Hakufu, but Hakufu was weakened by Toutaku's touch, so she gives up. Goei, Ryoumou and Koukin ponder Hakufu's destiny where her dragon fighting spirit may awaken and she might lose her life. Ryoumou and Koukin look for Gakushuu. Koukin meets Saji who invites him to see the senior leader Enjutsu, but then gets ambushed and attacked. Hakufu stays home for the day, but then learns of her fate, and decides to go after Toutaku.

Toutaku forces Hakufu to battle Ryofu, otherwise Ryoumou will be killed. The girls fight each other, but also attempt to go after Toutaku. It looks like no one will be able to win, until Ryofu defies her fate, and uses her ultimate technique. Hakufu and Ryoumou learn Saji's true identity and they go to rescue Koukin and confront Saji.

Hakufu and Ryoumei go after Ouin Shishi, who manages to enrage Hakufu. But instead of her dragon spirit manifesting, Hakufu channels the remaining influence of Toutaku and gets out of control. Can Koukin save her from her fate? Ukitsu also comes back for a final challenge.
