Paramount+ has updated the page for the original Criminal Minds series with Criminal Minds: Evolution's artwork, description, and logo. They also state on the page that a new season is streaming on Thanksgiving Day.

If the page for the original show says that a new season is coming soon and it was updated with information about the upcoming revival/sequel, it can be fairly reasonable to say that the revival/sequel is not a new show but the next season of the original show.
