It looks like an 80's TV series, for how it is set up and the questionable 4/3 format.
The choice of shots that are always flickering to make you seasick is also bad (was it too expensive to buy a tripod?). Finally, many of the characters are absurd and silly ... The story was not bad, as it was conceived, however, everything was handled badly in my opinion.
