Am I the only one not feeling this Ben chasing Elle storyline? I didn't like Sam at first, but she grew on me and I liked her and Ben together. I didn't like that they broke them up before even giving them a chance. I thought he and Zoey were ok, there was potential there too but they again messed it up without giving it a chance. To have him chase yet another girl claiming she's the one has been done before and the sitcom antics of them just missing each other is already old and over-done. Plus from what I've seen of the Elle character, she hasn't really made an impression on me to care if she ends up with Ben. I bet what's going to happen is they will finally meet and then it's gonna turn out that they are not made for each other, then we would have wasted a season just to come to that realization.

I agree that so far Elle has been really bland, and happily ever after should be earned in order for it to be interesting. I miss Ben working on himself, and I would have been more interested in him trying to attend college part time as his plot for this season. Ben in college would have had way more to build on for stories and guest characters for two seasons.

Yes, I would have liked that storyline so much better with him going to college. It could have brought in some corky guest characters. It would have given Ben more of a growth storyline too because this whole chasing a girl is boring and doing nothing for his character growth.

The show's main premise has been that Ben was very immature, and Emma forced him to grow up (to some extent). Now that Emma is older, Ben begins to fall into old habits. I think the writers were going for Elle being the person who causes him to finish growing up, when he is really ready to begin his life with her. After watching the show for so long, I don't really feel like this premise fits.

elle is a weird throw into the mix since she hasn't had any real screen time to show her personality off, I almost thought they would bring back Sam with her being pregnant since Riley's turned out pregnant. that would have been cool to see the two brothers dealing with their first pregnancy and Sam still being on the fence about even keeping the kid(adoption).

Elle hasn't even been mentioned in the last few episodes.
