Me too...so disappointed!!! I guess I thought they were going to tie things up for all the characters. Everything is just so open ended and unfinished. I guess that's how real life is but in the Girls world I just wanted more closure.
For me last week was really the finale and this was more like an epilog ... but yeah.
You're absolutely right, I hadn't thought of it like that. Last weeks episode was more of a finale, all the characters were on and pretty much tied up their story lines.

HoneyWest was correct in saying last weeks episode was more of a finale, it tied up things as much as could be expected for the characters ( except Marnie).
HBO has a special/documentary called "A Goodbye To Girls"
It's really interesting and humorous , Lena tells how they all met in real life, shows each of the actors casting calls, funny clips, all the shows guest stars, etc. Girls fans should check it out.
...and I just hated the way Hannah treated Marnie ( even though she has never been my favorite) I really didn't like the storyline of Hanna having a baby (that was out of left field to me), I wanted it to end with her having a great career as a writer, not being a single stressed out mom.

I saw that on there, will watch, thanks for the recommendation.

I agree. And the last episode was underwhelming. But then again, a big rowdy crowdpleaser of a finale would go against the unconventionality of the show. And it kind of worked in showing that the repetitive and self centered lifestyle cycle of youth is eventually broken when you are forced to grow up.

Sooooo underwhelming for a finale. Really half-baked.
