There was one ep concerning Control's Olympics where two Kaos agents were much like in name and attitude John Steed and Emma Peel from the Avengers series. ( Though the lady Kaos agent looked way more like beauty Honor Blackman ( Cathy Gale) than Diana Rigg-- was Rigg very hard to find a lookalike for?). Strange too as The Avengers are good guys!

Another had the Chief describing a Kaos agent known as Simon the Likable. The Chief says he ( Chief) remembers what happened in London last month. This is where it gets intriguing. We see Big Ben (remember "him"? when was the last time you heard about him?) and then a trial taking place where sentence is being pronounced. In whose mind is this flashback occuring? The Chief's? Max's? 99's?

SPoiler: It reminds me very much of an Avengers ep where Cathy Gale gets arrested for murder. They cut away and show during her arrest a scene at a house and a supposedly dead man in a wheelchair. Turns out later the guy was really alive and Cathy's arrest was bogus and orchestrated by two of the henchman of the wheelchaired fella. That scene where they showed the guy dead. In whose mind? Steed's? Cathy's? A dramatic cheat to the viewers was the bogus death but a well done ep all the same.
