An NBC article from 2023 about a broadcast on ABC 14 years before has no proof value.
As visible on the TV schedules from the day of the broadcast, for example this one, it was originally broadcasted as one single episode.
I also quote again the Scrubs fandom : "The episode was split in two parts on DVD, ABC.com, Hulu, Netflix and syndicated reruns, but aired as an hour long single episode when it originally aired on ABC."
