Yeah, I've been watching. It's worth revisiting S04 as well because they remixed/ re-edited it, so it's now called Arrested Development: Fateful Consequences and it's much funnier than it was on release (albeit a bit heavy on the narration). Season 5 is nowhere near as good as the original few seasons, but it's still good entertainment and fun to watch. The gag rate is lower and also has more misses than it ever used to, but if you're a fan of the show I think you'd still enjoy it.

If the 'bad press' you're referring to is stuff about Tambor and Waters, tbh, if the cast aren't letting it stop them and they're all putting it behind them as they seem to be, I don't know why we should let it bother us. Plus, how much do you want to let off screen drama ruin on screen genius? Gotta separate the art from the artists...

I was unaware of any press, so I missed all that drama (just read a bit of it...meh). Anyway, as far as the new season, I only watched it because AD came up as "New Episodes." I was quite confused as the new season was (as @silverhawkins just said) simply S4 remixed. I also agree that the remix of S4 was quite funny, if redundant and confusing since I was trying to mentally parse out what was new and what was rehashed.

I was confused during a conversation with a friend who also saw the new episodes and kept referring to it as S5. I thought he was referring to S4 Remix as S5. We were literally talking past each other. Then of course I found out that there actually was a S5 too. My verdict having finished all of it? S5 wasn't very good. It feels like they have beat this series to death...and what a sad death it has been.

I agree, Daddie0. Latest season wasn't very good at all, and it is a shame.
