I am halfway through series 4 - still enjoying it apart from Paige and Pastor Tim's horrible hair !! However - I am only just noticing how every episode contains a lot of food and people eating. Elizabeth is always bringing groceries in or shopping or cooking - Stan is always there scrounging meals - or Henry is in Stan's house - usually eating. In Russia the emphasis is on food shortages - we see Martha eating a potato with fried onions and food shopping on almost empty shelves - whilst in Oleg's house the family spend a lot of time at the table - eating. Even when Nina was in prison she was bringing food to the scientist and being rewarded with food. I don't know whether to look forward to or dread the season finale - I will miss this show - whatever happens - the action has been good - the acting also - more than can be said for most series these days.
