I'm a fan of both SG1 and Atlantis, but Universe didn't quite sit right with me. However, I think the Destiny's crew going back 2000 years in time to form an new civilization was a great story line, and a great shame it ended so quickly. The opportunities here is vast. Their descendants could have spread throughout the Stargate-network to other planets, and Destiny's crew could have gone through the Stargate to different worlds and visited them, and possibly found some more interesting enemies than a bunch of automatic space-canons.

I was a huge fan of SG-1 & Atlantis, this one, not so much. I wanted to like it but the main reason I didn't? The characters, there wasn't ONE likeable character on the show!

Jumping in late. After watching all of Stargate I took a few week break and now I'm watching SGU. It looks more like Battlestar Galactica than a Stargate show. But I'm loving it. I know I'm in for a disappointment because I understand they didn't wrap up the story. No likeable characters is OK with me. Actually I like Colonel Young and Eli. They have woman in the cast but so far none of them are standing out. I'm about 1/2 way through the first season.
