Add this show to NBC's growing list of ending shows on a cliffhanger. The series ended on September 21, 2017 and then a month later it's cancelled. This really irks me when networks do this.

The show ultimately ends with Abigail taking the baby into the hybrid zone and forcing Jackson to crash the cargo plane into the barrier and destroying it before allowing the team to rescue the baby, saying the hybrid problem can be dealt with later. So now will never know if they baby and the rest of the world is saved and if they find a way to kill or cure the hybrids. Yes I do understand that the ratings were dropping with every episode aired, and I can bet that this was NBC's plan all along, wait until the season finishes airing globally, then pull the plug at the earliest opportunity.
