Overview

La Academia de chicas Achiga en Nara derrota a la escuela Bansei en el torneo regional de Mahjong, consiguiendo avanza a las semifinales nacionales, pero pierden ante el eventual campeón, y el club Mahjong de Achiga se disuelve. Seis años más tarde, la estudiante de escuela primaria Shizuno Takakano se hace amiga de Nodoka Haramora. Las dos entran en la Academia Achiga pero Nodoka es trasladada en el segundo año. Cuando Shizuno ve a Nodoka en el campeonato individual nacional de escuelas intermedias de Mahjong, decide revivir el Achiba Mahjong Club.
