...honestly what right did the ATF and FBI have to go after a private group? They didn't like the way they lived? Oh right the guns. That must have meant they planned for a revolution! Know how many survivalist groups there are in Maine alone? Every one of them are armed to the teeth. No raids on them!
It sickens me to see how our paid for government agencies can get away with s**t like this. They control the message so we all, including me, thought Koresh was another Jim Jones that had to be stopped. Instead maybe he was a gentle minded man of God (maybe a bit nuts regarding sleeping ith everyone's wife but...) who was killed along with his wife, children, and many others by our government simply because he was different?

It's over now and I knew when Tibedeau was walking around what was left of the compound he'd find that birthday gift drum key necklace he gave little Serenity (who perished in the flames). I knew that pull on the heart strings was coming and I cried anyway!
Adults take full responsibility for4 their actions. Be it by getting married when they clearly have serious differences or in an extreme situation such as Waco. The children always ALWAYS are the innocents. They are the victims of the madness or outright stupidity of the adults who sire them or surround them.
Koresh was not innocent in what happened but he also wasn't the crazy person the press and FBI made him out to be. Not one of the survivors of the raid has ever said he planned on killing himself or anyone. Not one has ever said anything but that he was indeed fanatical about his beliefs and egocentric. Hardly criminal offenses. Sure the other side will say they are still under "his thrall" and will never turn on him but, well, in truth that kind of mind manipulation takes a heck of a lot longer than Koresh was leader of the group.
I put full blame on the ATF and the FBI for how things went. Online I have tried to find info on the real Mitch Decker and Tony Prince but apparently they are composite characters.
