I don't quite get what is happening at Netflix, but their content, especially docuseries content, has continued to promise factual lightly-biased productions that turn, almost like clockwork, into heavy-handed "rah-rah" positions that they seem to advocate. It's so strange to me.

Part of why I am drawn to documentary film-making (or TV-making) is that you slap the facts on the screen and trust viewers to discern and decide. In fact, some of the best documentaries leave you questioning your own biases. It seems to me that so many Netflix productions purport to present facts in such a way, only to take a hard turn in the final corners to make their positions quite clear.

What a shame, and a way to surrender influence on important conversations. This series is a great example.
