背景設定在未來四十年後，大家對太空趨之若鶩。《怪醫豪斯》、《夜班經理》英國男星休羅利（Hugh Laurie）飾演迷人的艦長雷恩克拉克（Ryan Clark），有他在事情就不會出錯。
