I'm sure Trunk ate more than what we saw. I mean after the fight we don't see him for a long time, and there was a LOT of food in that kitchen!!! He mentioned that he came from the buffet later on, but I'm not sure if he meant the kitchen or if he went to the ACTUAL buffet after the kitchen fight. Him finally eating is the highlight of this season, it's my favourite scene!!!
