This entire surrogate storyline has to be one of the worst executed ones in GH history. All couples have disagreements but that doesn't mean that a divorce or separation is imminent. Kristina has had poor role models throughout her life which may explain why she thinks TJ and Molly are doomed.

Bad writing. What a shock

Is she going based on one fight that TJ and Molly had? Suddenly they are breaking up? A bit too contrived to have the narrative of Kristina stealing the baby.

It would make more sense to just have Kristina want to keep the baby because she became emotionally attached. Not because of Molly and TJ's relationship.

Can't do that because that would make a bisexual character seem unstable. Not PC!

I think the subtext is definitely that Kristina wants to keep the baby and is using TJ’s and Molly’s fight as the rationale to pursue legal action. She’s already gotten caught up in the flight of fancy that Blaze would want to co-parent this baby (which Blaze does not). Kristina has always been portrayed as mentally unstable and her being bisexual has nothing to do with it. She is her father’s daughter, they are both impulsive and mentally unstable which is why they’re so close.

No doubt she inherited Sonny's mental illness.

They are presenting this as a genuine dilemma because to not do so would mean she's a lunatic who is also bisexual, and it's too non-PC to show a LBBT character as having any other pros or cons in their lives. It's to one dimensionalize her; which they have always done.

I really don’t think the writers are tip- toeing around her SL because the character is bisexual. Kristina is one of the few characters that all of the writers (even the sub par ones) have written consistently for. She’s always been impulsive, emotionally unstable, and prone to making poor decisions. The opposite of Molly. The writers need to give her a bipolar diagnosis already. We knew from the very start that Kristina was going to get attached to this baby during pregnancy and not want to give it up, and it was heavily foreshadowed by TJ’s hesitancy and Alexis’ not thinking surrogacy was a good idea for Kristina. Also, this is not an issue related to two lesbian women possibly raising a baby together because Blaze does not want to co-parent a child at this point in her life. Kristina is in fact a bit of a lunatic and her sexuality has nothing to do with it.

Well, to be fair, the character of Brad Cooper (Lucas' husband) was an absolute pathological liar and quite a snake for a long time...

right which had nothing to do with him being gay.

I can appreciate that they can write for a gay character and their storyline has nothing to do with them being gay. I agree with everything Kathy said above.
