Involved in the Australasian film sector since 1986, I started my career in the sales and marketing divisions of Village Roadshow, Columbia Tri-Star Films and 20th Century Fox; by 2000, I was Asia Pacific Sales Manager for ‘The Showbusiness Bible’, Variety. As an industry journalist, I have written for Inside Film, The Big Issue, FilmInk, Empire, Screen Hub, Digital Retribution and SBS Movies, before launching the film industry site SCREEN-SPACE in 2012. My film review shows have been broadcast on the Nine News Media radio network; ABC 92.5FM Central Coast; and, ABC-FM Statewide Drive. A member of the Film Critics Circle of Australia (FCCA) and the industry body Cinema Pioneers, I have served on the jury at The Sydney Underground Film Festival, the Melbourne Film Festival sidebar Telescope, The South Australian Screen Awards, The Byron Bay International Film Festival, the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, the Gold Coast Film Festival, the Russian Resurrection Film Festival and the Dungog Film Festival. I served three years as Head of the Festival Jury for Sydney's A Night of Horror/Fantastic Planet Film Festival and am currently the Festival Director of the Sydney leg of Monster Fest. In 2020, I founded the SYDNEY SCIENCE FICTION FILM FESTIVAL which, in 2022, will expand to become a national screening event. In 2021, I launched and continue to co-host the podcast SCREEN WATCHING, a weekly show dedicated to film and TV content. Married with two daughters, I live in Sydney, Australia.
