I have been a keen movie buff for pretty much all of my adult life. Although I have an info science degree, software development is more of a hobby to me. My main employment is in the seismic exploration field. This takes me away to isolated locations for weeks or even months at a time. In my downtime at these locations there is nothing to do but read a book or watch a movie. This is where the need to create my own movie library comes from. Due to certain restrictions imposed on us in these locations, most available software would not work for me. And now thanks to the TMDb API, I can easily fill my library with information for newly acquired movies.
